Heston Action Group has been working with the London Borough of Hounslow and Hounslow Highways since 2018 to encourage tree planting and tree care in Heston streets and beyond. In 2022 HAG created the West London Tree Hub project with the support of Mayor of London's Grow Back Greener Fund to ensure that tree planting is supported by a programme of activities and outreach educational actions.
